From time to time I hear people say that they’ve been told that it is not permissible to spend corporate funds on business meals where the only participants were employees working in the same office. Thus, if one employee from your local office goes to lunch with another employee from that same office, neither could request reimbursement from the organization for that meal. But should that apply in all cases? No, there are times when it is permissible.
